I worked for Dr. Boyle at FKCC, she was “Student Centered” it was always what is best for the student. Dr. Boyle has a great mind for financial matters and corrected many past misgivings, and she increased enrolment. Dr. Boyle was charged with turning the college around and she did just that to a positive tune, she also managed to squeeze a salary increase for faculty and staff in a down economy! I would recommend Dr. Boyle to any position she applies for as a strong candidate.

Colleges need to educate by example. By embracing energy efficiency at the facility level, it demonstrates to the students that their college takes energy conservation seriously. If it rubs off onto the students, than the college did their part.

I hear the college has already received new equipment as a result of this grant. Equipment that can be used both for course on port security as well as coral reef mapping.

This is a really great initiative that not only makes a positive financial impact for FKCC but also is the right thing to do for the environment. Another thing that FKCC could look at is recycling of printer cartridges.
